Meyer Middle School was one of three faculties named by the Wisconsin Character Education Partnership as a 2016 Wisconsin State School of Character! The quality of education one has, comes much less from the variety of colleges one has been to, and more from the intensity of ones vital analysis of ones own mental means to take care of ones emotional reality to clearly see what best to do with it so one can develop as a considering being who values a broad spectrum of cultur one could wish to contribut to extra absolutely.
Real training is, being humane, sort, compassionate, affectionate, treating all alike whether or not poor or wealthy, dark or honest, related or unrelated, believer or atheist…… Real schooling is to feel deeply about life- this whole aspect of being or consciousness, and usher in wisdom to know all the pieces very clearly, by no means ever hurting anybody either physically or mentally, stay one’s life with oneness with this whole existence and above all have a ardour for studying more and more.
When we are surrounded by good position models and are held to high expectations all through our childhood, we can internalize what it means to be a person of fine character and do the suitable thing, it doesn’t matter what scenario we discover ourselves in. Sadly, a few of us come from properties where selfishness, racism, homophobia, mendacity, dishonest and/or stealing are the norm and college turns into the venue where we learn concerning the importance of changing into, and being, an individual of good character.
This occasion attended by approximately 250-300 individuals honors college students, educators, schools, and enterprise and civic leaders and organization throughout the Capital Region and Northeastern United States who have gone above and beyond in the character training initiative by providing management and dedication to the imaginative and prescient and mission of fostering constructive character improvement in our college and communities.
Each month a unique character attribute is highlighted via Character Assemblies, via bulletins, by celebrating scholar actions in relation to the Peel’s Character attributes and through in-class activities (often built-in into Language Arts by studying, discussing and writing concerning the Character attributes seen in fictional and real characters).
